Why do I have wrinkles at 20?

Wrinkles are not just a sign of aging. They may also be related to genetics, diet, climate, cosmetics, and general health. That’s why some women have wrinkles in their 20s.

In this article we will share with you some of the causes of wrinkles at 20 and the natural remedies that will help us prevent and smooth them.

Wrinkles at age 20
Wrinkles are one of the signs of aging, as several studies have shown. With the passage of time, the skin loses hydration and elasticity in a progressive way, which causes skin flaccidity and malnutrition and, therefore, the appearance of wrinkles.

Thanks or because of genetics, there are people of mature age who have smooth and luminous skin, while others less fortunate already have marks of expression from the age of twenty.

However, not only does genetics influence these signals, but other factors as well:

Lack of hydration. Drinking a little water makes our skin dull, with scaling and deeper expression marks.
Unbalanced diet, poor in proteins and good quality fats.
Exposure to the sun and aggressive climates.
Stress and negative emotions.
Inadequate care of the skin, for the use of cosmetics of bad quality or for abusing them, for not using moisturizing lotions or for not removing make-up.
Disorders in our organism, especially in the liver, kidneys, lungs and intestine.
Treatment for premature wrinkles
Drinking water
The first step in preventing premature wrinkles is the simplest: we should drink more water. Most people who have dry skin or wrinkles at an early age usually drink little water.

We should aim for the following:

2 glasses on an empty stomach.
3 glasses during the morning.
3 glasses during the afternoon.
We will begin to notice the benefits almost immediately. Not only on the skin, but on our general health.

Nutritious food
Food nourishes the skin from the inside much more than any external product. The following food groups should not be missing from our diet:

Raw fruits and vegetables, in juices, smoothies and salads. They provide vitamins and minerals in large quantities.
Good quality protein: nuts, seeds, legumes, eggs, blue fish. Protein is essential for firm skin.
Healthy fats: coconut and olive oil, avocado, ghee, egg yolk, nuts and seeds, blue fish. Fats contain essential fatty acids that nourish the skin from the inside and give it elasticity.
Skin protection and care
5 essential oils to repair and soften your skin
To moisturize the skin and protect it from external aggressions we must use good quality cosmetic products, made with natural ingredients.

This is the case with vegetable and essential oils, butters, aloe vera, etc. They must be free of preservatives, heavy metals and petroleum derivatives.

Some of the most beneficial ingredients to fight wrinkles are oils:

Wheat germ.
Natural environments
If we live in a big city we must know that our skin also needs to be nourished by the air of the sea or the mountain to stop premature aging.

Positive emotions
Woman with energy
Negative emotions such as anger, depression, or irritability promote the appearance of wrinkles at an early age.

We must make the necessary changes in our life to be with joy, positivism and serenity before the situations that touch us to live. The flowers of Bach can be of great help to us in this sense.

Balanced health
If we suffer from any disorder of the liver, kidneys, lungs or intestine, among many other symptoms we may also have wrinkles too young.

For example, crow’s feet or wrinkles that appear on the outside of the eyes are related to a weak liver.
Vertical furrows running from the sides of the nose to the ends of the lip indicate intestinal malfunction.
We must take care of our organs to achieve balance both inside and to look good. Do you have wrinkles in your 20s? Put into practice all the above habits to prevent them from going any further.

can wrinkles appear overnight

Wrinkles are one of the signs that can make us older. In fact, surveys reveal that it is the sign of age that most “bothers” women, and 80% would like to make them disappear.

The most common age marks are those between the eyebrows in people who contract the area unconsciously, those on the upper lip in smokers, and the subtle crow’s feet if you laugh frequently.

Before 40 the lines are fine, but without the necessary care they end up breaking the fibers of the dermis and become the dreaded and hated wrinkles.

From the age of 45, and especially since menopause, a series of functions in the skin that favour the appearance of wrinkles are slowed down:

Collagen decreases due to the decrease in estrogen. As a result, the skin becomes thinner, loses elasticity and firmness and the ability to hold water inside is reduced, so it dehydrates easily.
The complexion is dull and devitalised. This happens because the passage of nutrients from the dermis (the deepest layer of the skin) to the epidermis (the superficial one) does not take place in the correct way.

Make faces
Another way to avoid the wrinkles that appear because of the gestures is precisely to dedicate a few moments at different times of the day, just when you notice those gestures or other tensions in the face (eyes, jaw, etc.), to make all kinds of grimaces.

All you have to do is take a couple of minutes to make all the grimaces you can think of with your face.

For example:

Open and move your mouth, sticking out your tongue
Open and close your eyes, look everywhere
Swelling the cheeks
Moving the tongue inside the mouth
Moving the nose
Wrinkle and relax the forehead
This simple and fun exercise can help relax your face right away. It can even make your face look more rosy right away.

Nourish with oils to reduce premature wrinkles
Wrinkles often appear on malnourished skin, which lacks vitamins and minerals. Although you can get these with a good diet, from outside you can also provide many nutrients by applying vegetable oils.

We recommend some of the best known according to your skin type:

For oily skin: coconut oil
If you have mixed skin: jojoba oil
For dry and mature skins: rosehip oil
You can take advantage of and combine the facial massage that we mentioned with these oils, so that the skin absorbs them well and you can relax your face in the process.

Protect yourself from the sun
The sun is beneficial for the complexion and general health, since it promotes the synthesis of vitamin D, whose function is important for the body.

The problem is that we usually take it aggressively, at hours of more radiation and too long in a row. In these cases it is necessary to protect the face with a cap or hat, and adequate sun protection.

The skin also dehydrates, and in fact is one of the areas most affected depending on whether you drink more or less water. Ideally, you should drink between one and a half to two litres of water daily.

Take care of yourself inside.
Another important aspect is food. A healthy and balanced diet will help your body in general to function better, and will therefore also benefit your skin.

First of all, it should be emphasised that there are foods that favour malnutrition and that, in this way, we should reduce it as much as possible:

Sugars and sweeteners
Refined oils and fried foods
Refined flours
Artificial Additives
Red meat and sausages
Instead, we will increase consumption of the following foods:

First cold pressed vegetable oils: olive, coconut, flax, wheat germ, sesame.
Fruits and vegetables, raw (salads and juices) and cooked
Whole Grain
Nuts and seeds
Good quality meat, fish and egg

how to get rid of deep forehead wrinkles

Use a sunscreen. Studies have indicated that the sun is the main cause of wrinkles. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (UVA and UVA) with a SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 30. You do not need to use a sunscreen greater than 50 SPF.[1].
You should use a sunscreen, even if it’s not a sunny day. If you’re dark, it doesn’t mean you’re protected from the sun. Use a sunscreen no matter what![2]
Using a sunscreen won’t stop you from getting wrinkles; it will also decrease your risk of getting skin cancer.[3]
Put the sunscreen back on frequently (at least every two hours).[4]

Wash your face every day. Doctors recommend washing your face twice a day (no more than that amount). Excessive washing can take away your skin’s natural oils and moisture, so wrinkles will look deeper; it may even lead to new wrinkles forming.[5]
Even if your skin is oily, don’t wash your face more than twice a day, as it can irritate your skin and, if you have acne, can cause more pimples to appear.
People with mature skin (i.e., 40 years of age or older) can get away with it by washing their face with a facial cleanser every night and just rinsing it with cold water in the morning.[6]

Use a tonic after washing your face. Putting a tonic on your skin after washing can help balance the pH of your skin and help it look healthier. Be sure not to use tonics that contain alcohol, as they can dry out your skin.

Use a good quality moisturizer that combats wrinkles. Many moisturizers contain ingredients designed to combat and prevent the appearance of wrinkles. Put a moisturizer on your face twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening, after washing your face in both cases.
There is little evidence to suggest that day and night creams are different; however, the sun makes some ingredients in moisturizers ineffective. For example, sunlight makes retinol (an element that fights wrinkles quite effectively) inactive.[7]
Image titled Remove Deep Facial Wrinkles Step 5
Use a good eye cream. The skin around the eyes is different from the rest of the facial skin because it is thinner, more delicate, wrinkles and falls off more quickly. So, in addition to using a facial moisturizer, it’s worth using an eye cream.
Look for an eye cream that contains collagen, vitamin C, peptides, or retinol.[8]

Choosing the right treatment to fight wrinkles
Image titled Remove Deep Facial Wrinkles Step 6
Treat your wrinkles with retinoids. Some health professionals point out that retinoids are the best way to reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging. At first, medications that contain retinoids can cause your skin to redden and peel, but once you stop, your wrinkles should improve their appearance. Your doctor may prescribe a retinoid cream.
Many skin care brands sold in pharmacies contain retinol, a less irritating form of the prescription acid, retinoid. You don’t need a prescription to buy these products. They vary in quality, so it’s important to know what to look for.
Retinol decreases with exposure to light and air, so choose a product whose packaging blocks both. Look for brands that offer retinol treatments in single-dose capsules, dark colored glass bottles with tightly closed lids, or aluminum containers.[9]
Image titled Remove Deep Facial Wrinkles Step 7
Use skin care products containing ibedenone. Ibedenone is a powerful antioxidant. A recent study has shown that within six weeks of topical use, ibedenone was able to decrease expression lines and wrinkles by 29%[10].
Image titled Remove Deep Facial Wrinkles Step 8
Use alpha-hydroxy acid skin care products. Not only will alpha-hydroxy acids not irritate your skin as much as retinoids, but they won’t give you the same results either. These products will only diminish your wrinkles a little.[11]
Image titled Remove Deep Facial Wrinkles Step 9
Use skin care products that contain antioxidants. Skin care products containing vitamins A, C and E, in addition to beta-carotene, can slightly improve the appearance of your wrinkles.[12]

Get a peeling treatment. You can find several of these treatments through health professionals or you can buy them without a prescription.[13] You should know

dynamic wrinkles

What causes the appearance of wrinkles is the aging of the skin, which manifests itself as a slow, progressive and irreversible process, influenced by various intrinsic or extrinsic factors.

The first ones condition what is known as true or chronological aging, that is to say the one that is expected and inevitable.

On the other hand, the second conditioning enhances physiological ageing, as the alterations appear in the long term through photo-aging and are added to the physiological process of the intrinsic.

The external factors that most favour skin ageing are environmental factors (solar radiation, pollution), unhealthy habits (alcoholism, smoking) and psychosocial factors.

Signs of skin aging

The most important signs of skin ageing are the appearance of wrinkles, spots, dryness of the skin, loss of shine and tissue ptosis.

These signs are the result of a physiological process of declining functions of the connective tissue, by which the collagen becomes more rigid and its volume decreases.

In addition, the elastic fibers lose strength due to the decrease in elasticity, there is a decrease in glycosaminoglycans, associated with a reduction in water, which causes a decrease in adhesion, migration and differentiation of cells.

The gradual deterioration of the connective tissue leads to a degeneration of the elastic fibers and a decrease in oxygen in the tissues, with subsequent dehydration, which causes the appearance of small skin folds, called wrinkles.

Types of wrinkles

From a clinical point of view, wrinkles can be both superficial and deep.

Superficial wrinkles are those that disappear with the stretching of the skin; they differ from deep wrinkles, which are not modified when the skin is stretched.

Specialists have another classification for wrinkles: static, dynamic and gravitational.

a) Static wrinkles: they are caused by the fatigue of the structures that make up the skin, by the repetition of movements, which after a while, as if it were an “indelible mark”, appear in their absence.

b) Dynamic wrinkles: also called expression lines, they arise as a consequence of repetitive movements of facial mimicry and appear with this movement.

c) Gravitational wrinkles: they are a consequence of the flaccidity of the skin, ending with a real ptosis of the cutaneous structure.

Classification by Richard Glogau

There is another approach to differentiating types of wrinkles: a classification developed by Richard Glogau, which groups wrinkles into four levels according to the degree of photoaging of the skin.

  • Type I: minimal appearance of wrinkles, due to initial photoaging, mild alteration of pigmentation, absence of keratosis or senile lentigines. It occurs in people between 20 and 30 years old.

  • Type II: the skin remains smooth in the absence of movements, but during habitual movements (laughing, frowning, etc.) the face appears with wrinkles, accompanied by initial senile lentigos and telangectasias, without visible hyperkeratosis. It occurs in people over 35 years old.

  • Type III: They are visible in the absence of habitual movements, there are senile lentigos, telangectasis and solar keratosis. It is suffered by people over 50 years of age and requires permanent makeup.

  • Type IV: wrinkles are generalised, with a reduction in the thickness of the epidermis, and the skin assumes a yellowish colouring (due to the increase in the thickness of the horny layer). There is a greater tendency to skin cancer and it occurs in people over 60 years of age.

Facial wrinkles

The wrinkles that most concern people, especially women, are those that appear on the face.

As mentioned above, those that are superficial and of grade I classification are those that do not need permanent makeup and have a good response to treatment.

This is not the case with deep wrinkles, which correspond to grades III and IV, which require permanent makeup and more complex treatments.

To better understand what happens to the appearance of the face as age progresses, the face is divided into three sections.

The upper third stretches from the forehead to the eye line. The middle third includes the underside of the eye line to the edge of the base of the nose, while the lower third includes the mouth and chin area.

When people are young, the lower third has an inverted triangle shape. But with aging, the facial volume is lost, causing the face to change its original shape and acquire a triangular appearance, but with the base down.

Facial Aging Treatment

There are numerous and varied techniques, both technological and medical and cosmetic, for the treatment of facial aging. A problem that in recent years has had great advances, to the point of offering day by day more and better options to improve both expression lines and wrinkles.

In addition to being increasingly accessible and personalized, according to the possibilities and needs of each person, most of these therapeutic resources are non-invasive, so they do not require the interruption of work or activities of family or social life.

premature wrinkles on forehead

One of the most visible wrinkles on the face, and one of the first to appear, are those on the forehead. These age or expression marks affect and annoy both men and women.

The concern for forehead lines does not necessarily have to be associated with the passage of years, some people tend to have these marks from very young, as they are closely linked to facial expressions.

For those who frown a lot or already have the marks of the passage of time, today in AnotherMedicine we have some very simple tips for them to reduce forehead wrinkles naturally.

Food Care
Taking care of your diet is essential to delay the appearance of wrinkles. It is essential to maintain a balanced diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, especially those that are high in vitamins C and E, as they have powerful antioxidant properties.

Vitamins can be consumed in capsules, but they will always be more beneficial if you consume them naturally. Some of the foods rich in vitamin E are: hazelnuts, walnuts, sunflower oil, broccoli, spinach, carrots, among others.

Vitamin C is found mainly in citrus fruits, such as orange, lemon, and grapefruit, also in tomatoes, green leafy vegetables, red peppers, among others. It is important that you consume some source of vitamin C every day, as it is not accumulated by the body.

Fighting Forehead Wrinkles with CosmeticsOne of the best ways to eliminate forehead and frown wrinkles without surgery is to care for your skin every day with specific products such as anti-wrinkle creams. In these cases, it is best to use creams that prevent the appearance of more expression lines, but also attenuate the existing ones, so choose those creams that have filler effect, as they are also known. The key is that these products are prepared so that very small particles and spheres enter the skin to occupy the furrow left by the wrinkle and that this disappears, at least, for a few hours.and is that this type of products can be found in different brands to make an immediate effect or flash. However, there are also cosmetics within these lines of anti-wrinkle treatment creams that are for daily use and are attenuating wrinkles week after week. to choose well these creams, as well as making sure they have filler effect, it is important to observe their composition well because it is essential that they have hiauloric acid, as well as vitamins C and E, which are key to the formation of natural collagen in the skin and, therefore, reduce the chances of wrinkles appearing and a loss of firmness occurs.

forehead wrinkles at 30

If you are between 30 and 35 years old and already have expression lines, you are the right person to read on until the end. The first thing you should know is that, unless these wrinkles are abundant, deep and spread over areas not associated with facial expression, you should not worry.

These are due to the contraction of the muscles of your face. If you are a person who smiles a lot, gestures and communicates regularly and generously through gestures, in addition to words, you are a candidate for this problem.

Other furrows in the skin that are also associated with this classification are the so-called postural wrinkles, such as the Venus rings on the neck, which appear due to the mechanical and repetitive movement of the head when bending down. Today they are known as “smartphone neck” and it would be better not to make predictions about their prevalence in the future, given the daily time people spend looking at notifications and communicating through their mobile device.

botox expression wrinkles

In addition to the “smarthpone neck”, the best known are the crow’s feet, which are born in the corners of the eyes. Also very striking are those between the eyebrows and, above all, those that are already mature, once they have reached a certain age, due to the place in which they are located and their dimensions. They are long and horizontal and at the slightest modification of the gesture they appear.

Plus the “bar code”, a rather pejorative denomination for the wrinkles that are born in the superior lip, very associated with the age. I imagine that the question many of you are asking yourself is whether they can be avoided. The answer is no. They appear, sooner or later, but they appear. And as in the case of wrinkles irremediably associated with age, their birth, depth and appearance are intimately linked to the health habits of our skin.

Some of you may have read about the so-called facial gymnastics, which consists of stretching the muscles of the face and neck, as we do with the rest of the muscles when we go to the gym. Realistically, the question is how much daily time you can devote to beauty. If we add facial gymnastics to creams and masks, smoothies and cosmetics, we are missing hours – not counting gymnastics, yoga and meditation.

The indicated habits to avoid the early appearance of wrinkles are the hydration, external and internal, not to smoke, not to drink alcohol and to dominate the stress. Once they are present, the job is to stop their evolution.

In this case, aesthetic medicine is once again the protagonist, unless we give ourselves over to cervical lifting, which is the most effective solution and works in a global way. It is considered from several points of view: anti-wrinkles, anti-ageing and a harmonious perspective of the face.

For the specific approach to wrinkles, we have an old acquaintance, Botox. The botulinum toxin is responsible for paralyzing the facial muscles, hence those similar expressions, those faces so similar that we have been seeing in the late eighties and early nineties in the international celebrities. If we go too far with botox, we kill the wrinkles, but also the expression. And all the faces look the same to us: stretched, but the same.

Mesotherapy, which is neither more nor less than an injection of hyaluronic acid combined with essential minerals, offers very good results.

From there, each specialist will recommend the treatment that best suits your needs: from lifting without surgery, Ultimate, to self-healing threads. The offer is varied, but each skin is unique. Always consult, not all treatments are valid for each skin.
